The CIPD Certificate in L&D Practice is made up of the following units:
- Developing yourself as an L&D practitioner:
You値l develop a sound understanding
of the knowledge, skills and behavior
required of a professional practitioner.
- Understanding organisations
and the role of L&D:
You値l be given an introduction to the role of learning and development operations within an
organization and environmental context.
- Undertaking a learning needs analysis:
You値l be taught how a learning
needs analysis can form the basis for
recommending learning solutions.
- Coaching skills for the workplace:
You値l receive an introduction to the
theoretical aspects of coaching and
an opportunity to develop your
coaching technique.
- Evaluating L&D activities:
You値l receive an introduction to the
principles, purposes and scope of
evaluation within an L&D context,
including the concept of return on
investment (ROI) and ways of assessing
ROI within a learning and development
and organizational context.
- Preparing and designing L&D activities:
You値l be provided with a practical
understanding of how to prepare and
design effective learning solutions using a range of learning methods, and told how to use a learning needs analysis to inform the design process.
- Delivering L&D activities:
You値l be provided with the knowledge
and skills required to deliver planned L&D activities, for example one-to-one, small group and large group sessions.
